This advanced practical course will discuss the theory and applications of functional imaging microscopy techniques like Super-resolution Microscopy (STED), FLIM-FRET, FRAP and FCS, that will be used in the practical sessions as well. Additional tools to measure cellular dynamics encompass enhanced fluorescent dyes, optogenetics & (FRET-) biosensors. During two tutorrial sessions the particpants will use ImageJ for some basic and more advanced image processing.
